California Dreamin'...We're On Our Way!! :)

This afternoon, Whit and I are leaving for California for our Anniversary/Family Wedding trip and we cannot wait!!!
We are going to be spending tonight through Friday morning in San Francisco and then driving on Friday morning to Sonoma Valley. My cousin, Ryan, is getting married on Saturday in Sonoma and Whit and I are so happy we are going to be there to celebrate his marriage to his beautiful fiance Erin!

I have never been to San Francisco or Sonoma so I cannot wait to spend time with Whit there and see all of the sights!

Some Things I Hope We Get To Do...

See The Golden Gate Bridge :)

Visit Fisherman's Wharf :)

I would like to see the real "Full House" house...
but I'm not sure if Whit is going to be into that! :)

See Alcatraz...
even though I'm sure I'll be scared throughout the entire tour... :)

I can't even imagine how beautiful Sonoma is going to be!
I just want to take in the fresh air and experience the beauty of Fall in Wine Country...

Cute Ryan and Erin!
We are so excited for you guys!

Well, we are off to get ready to go to the airport! :)
We will take lots of pictures and document our adventure in the Golden State!!
Have a great week!

Our First Anniversary... :)

This weekend was just perfect. One I think Whit and I will always remember. It was our first anniversary and we were very sappy and made plans to go to the same places we had spent our wedding weekend exactly a year before...

On Saturday night, we had dinner at the Bound'ry
where we had our rehearsal dinner... :)

We were greeted with two glasses of champagne :)
My filet and potato, very delicious...
Whit ordered the White Marble Smoked Pork Chop...it was tasty as well!
Since it was a VERY special occasion, we ordered some desserts to share...
Peach Cheesecake (Whit's favorite)
Creme Brûlée (My Favorite)
After Dinner Outside the Bound'ry :)

On Sunday morning after Church, we went to
Belle Meade Plantation for brunch at their little restaurant called, The Harding House...
It was a beautiful morning and we were lucky to get a table on the porch to enjoy the warm September sunshine...

Mimosas...Cheers to One Year!
The Biscuits...that Whit LOVED :)
Cute Whit enjoying his biscuits :)
After brunch, we walked into the Carriage House and reminisced...
...and Whit relived some moves in the spot
where the "best dancing of his life" took place...

And these are the beautiful Tennessee Mint Julep Cups
that The Gorham's gave us for our anniversary to officially start our collection! :)

It was an unforgettable weekend full of
wonderful memories both old and new! :)
We can't wait to see what year two has in store for us!

Now we are off to pack for our
San Francisco/Sonoma trip...California here we come!!

Dancing in September... :)

One year ago today, Whit and I were married. We have been very sentimental this weekend and spent time looking back with happy memories on our wedding weekend. We had a wonderful anniversary, which I'll talk more about tomorrow...

But for now, in the spirit of feeling nostalgic tonight...here are some of our favorite moments from our "Evening on the Plantation"...

And a little video to remember our wedding day...

What a wonderful day!
Thank you for all of the sweet anniversary wishes!

50 and Fabulous! :)

Wow! It has been a busy week at the Gorham House! Last week, my mom turned the big 5-0 and we hosted a party in her honor at our house. You know I always love throwing a great party, and Whit and I, along with Whitney, Keith and Will - had a great time planning the perfect September Sunday afternoon soiree for my Mom.

We had pictures of Mom throughout the party - this was one of my favorites :)
The Girls!
I came up with the idea of us trying to lift Will up...it got a little crazy :)
...and Will wasn't too happy...

It was a beautiful celebration for a wonderful Mom. She truly is 50 and Fabulous if I've ever seen it! :)

Now...tomorrow is a very exciting day...the First Day of Fall!! :) In honor of the first official day of my favorite season...I have gotten a little carried away and chosen an Autumn inspired background for the blog. And I just love it! :)

This time last year, Whit and I were getting ready for our wedding weekend. I cannot believe it has already been a year! We are looking forward to celebrating our first year of marriage on Sunday! :) Time flies when you are having fun...Happy Fall!
